Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Bizz Cheatsheets website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are. We’ve tried to write it clearly, without unnecessary legalese.
Contents
1. Who the data controller is
The data controller for the Bizz Cheatsheets website is [legal name, to be completed], [type of entity, to be completed], [registered address, to be completed], [registration number, if any, to be completed].
Contact for any privacy questions: [email protected] [to be completed].
2. What data we collect and why
a) Data you give us
- Email address: when you ask for the free list or sign up for occasional updates. We use it to send you the material and, if you agree, practical tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Message content: when you write to us (support, a question, a refund request), we keep your message and email so we can reply.
b) Purchase data
Purchases and payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record (see section 4). Payment data (card number and so on) is processed only by Lemon Squeezy: we never see or store it. We may receive from them the data needed for delivery and sales records (e.g. email, name, country, order amount and status).
c) Technical data
- Data your browser sends: IP address, browser type and version, time of access. It’s processed for security and so the site works properly.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings) to understand how the site is used and improve it, and the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. These tools load only after you consent to non-essential cookies. Clarity may record interactions on the page; we don’t intentionally collect sensitive data.
- Local storage (localStorage): small records in your browser that remember things like whether you’ve already seen the pop-up and your cookie choice. They aren’t shared with anyone. More in our Cookie Policy.
3. Legal basis for processing
For visitors from the EU and UK, we process data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR and UK GDPR). For California residents, see your rights under the CCPA/CPRA in section 8. Our legal bases are:
- Consent: for email updates and marketing, and for non-essential cookies (analytics and ads).
- Performance of a contract: to deliver the product you bought and respond to your requests.
- Legitimate interest: site security and a basic understanding of how the site is used.
- Legal obligation: keeping sales records where the law requires it (this is mainly handled by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record).
4. Payments: Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record)
Payments on this site go through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy is legally the seller to you and takes responsibility for:
- processing payments and securing card data (PCI compliance),
- calculating and collecting sales tax and VAT,
- handling refunds and chargebacks.
When you buy, Lemon Squeezy’s terms and privacy policy apply to you: Lemon Squeezy Privacy · Buyer Terms.
To process cards, Lemon Squeezy uses established payment processors (e.g. Stripe) as its sub-processors. At no point do we come into contact with your card details.
5. Who we share data with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA beyond the ad measurement you consent to. We only share it with trusted service providers (processors) who help us run the site:
| Who | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Lemon Squeezy | Sales, payment, delivery, tax, refunds (Merchant of Record) |
| MailerLite | Sending the free material and updates (email list) |
| Google Analytics 4 | Visit statistics (with consent) |
| Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel | Heatmaps and session recordings to improve the site, and ad measurement (with consent) |
| Hosting provider [to be completed, e.g. Cloudflare Pages] | Hosting and serving the site |
6. International data transfers
Some of the processors listed have servers outside the EU and UK (e.g. in the US). In those cases, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), in line with GDPR.
7. How long we keep data
- Email and updates: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Correspondence (support/refunds): as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations.
- Sales data: kept by Lemon Squeezy according to its own retention periods and the law.
- Analytics: according to the retention settings in GA4 and Clarity.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy of it,
- correct inaccurate data,
- ask for your data to be deleted (the “right to be forgotten”),
- restrict or object to processing, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information,
- withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from emails) without affecting processing already done,
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in the EU, the authority in your country; in the UK, the ICO. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected] [to be completed]. For data related to the purchase itself, we may also refer you to Lemon Squeezy, which controls that data.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Payment data is processed by Lemon Squeezy under PCI standards. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to keep the risk as low as possible.
10. Children
The site and products are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The new version applies from the date shown at the top of the page. We’ll highlight significant changes on the site.
